Door seal specification
Sealed door containers include an oval shaped dense neoprene sponge rubber fitted into a holding channel, fitted to the end face of the container. The flat inside face of the door is compressed against the seal by means of the ratchet locking mechanism, which forms a ‘water retentive’ seal. Typical applications are: food waste (low acidic), fine dust & slurry. To ensure a continuing seal, care must me taken to clean off any debris before closing the door. The design specification of the demountable container must include the following:
- Fixed cross bar (goalpost)
- Ratchet locking
- Single or tipper tailgate door
- Fully welded (internally)
